Hi, my name is Aria. I’m 19 years old. My major is industrial engineering. I’m an international student from China. My hometown Nanjing is a beautiful city, which locates in southern part of China. Before I came to America, I finished my fundamental education in Nanjing. When I was in high school, I desired to explore the grand outside world in spite of China. So I decided to come to America for college education. Right now I have been here for a semester, and everything gradually gets on track. It’s so nice to be here!
I’m taking five courses this semester, including GPA killers Calculus, Physics and CS. It’s kind of creepy to have all these three courses at the same time, and I didn’t do well in Calculus last semester. So I’m a little bit pressured at the present time. I will definitely try my best and I hope to have an ideal result at the end of the semester. Despite of academic activities, I will also prepare for applications for internships next semester. Besides of this, I plan to take part in club activities. I like to read novels, watch movies, play badminton, and play the piano and I devote to charity from time to time. So I may consider clubs relevant to these activities.
In this English class we will study poetry. In my opinion, poetry is not only a kind of literature and art, but also a kind of dream that inspires people to pursue happiness and beautiful things in lives, and raise hope for those in misfortune. It’s fortunate to have chance to study those beautiful poems and communicate with the authors in a spiritual way.
